Loads of Love
Loads of Love is a way of caring for people who are struggling financially by assisting them launder their own clothes and belongings. Loads of Love serves people that are living on the streets, in vehicles, or in shelters due to financial hardship. People served meet the definition of someone without a home, are food insecure and live in poverty. What Occurs? People in need of laundry assistance have the opportunity to launder their clothes free of charge at laundromats in Santa Barbara and Goleta CA. These are drop-in events that do not require an appointment. Click on these links to access a current list of drop-in event Dates and a Monthly Event Flyer indicating the planned Laundry Events. Upon arriving at the laundromat, our guests are met by caring volunteers that provide the money and laundry detergent needed to launder their clothes and belongings. Volunteers also focus on building relationships and provide a human connection often not experienced by those who live in poverty. Once trust is developed, volunteers are able to offer participants additional resources to meet other life needs. In additional to the drop-in Laundry Events, cards for card-operated machines utilized by some laundromats may be provided. Email [email protected] with card-op laundromat location. |
